12:00pm - Border RadioBorder Radio, from California, is an original stew of American music that blasts across the borders of roots, dustbowl swing, bluegrass, and country folk. Tight string band arrangements, the Okie torch vocals of Kelly McCune, and great songwriting (Kerrville New Folk Finalist). It’s eclectic acoustic American and Dustbowl Swing from this great California group! Be prepared to clap, sing and dance in your seats! 1:00pm - Pie Sale- your chance to buy a slice of the winning pies (and many others)1:30pm - Coty HogueBellingham based Coty Hogue and her band (Kat Bula and Aaron Guest) plays music based in the roots/folk genre that features guitar, banjo and fiddle and Coty’s amazing voice. 7:30pm - Tom Chapin & FriendsGrammy, Emmy and Peabody award winning folk artist Tom Chapin has been described as "totally captivating" by the Billboard Magazine, Tom Chapin is a singer, guitar player, TV personality, concert performer, actor, composer, and recording artist. Tom is also renowned for carrying on the work of his brother, the late Harry Chapin, in combating world hunger. Tom will be joined by his musical friends Jon Colbert and Michael Mark who have collaborated with Tom and are featured musicians on his award-winning children's and adult recordings, and appear in Tom's live concert video. His concert will contain music from Tom's recordings, and will include a mix of original, traditional, and Harry Chapin’s songs. Tom hosted the children's show "Make A Wish" on ABC TV from 1971-1976. 11:30am - John HillJohn Hill is a singer songwriter residing near the beautiful town of Ashland, OR. Though he has been a performing artist for many years, his debut album "Across the Field of Dreams", was just completed as of 1/11. John has a remarkabe voice and plays slide guitar, rhythm and finger-style guitar, ukulele, and harmonica. He nimbly mixes his original songs with Irish jigs, cover songs and traditional folk tunes.
12:45pm - Backwater OperaBackwater Opera is a chambergrass band based out of Denton, TX. music is essentially a reflection of their contradicting name, but they do their best to cover all styles including folk, rock, classical, bluegrass, and anything else they can try.Backwater consists of 4 members: Robert Sherwood (Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals), August Dennis (Double Bass), Marisa Korth (Vocals, Guitar, Double Bass), and Carlo Canlas (Violin, Vocals). Be prepared for amazing toe-tapping set.
3:30pm - We FiveBefore flower power, the Grateful Dead and the Jefferson Airplane it meant harmonic vocals, a melding of acoustic and electric guitars, folk music, rock and a bit of jazz. In the mid-60's, it was called folk rock, and it described the music of WE FIVE. A WE FIVE concert--then and now--means a totally entertaining experience: Smooth harmony, songs about love and good times, humor and a performance style that's polished without being stagy. The WE FIVE show will capture the mood of the times in the music of the times. In addition to it's first success with "You Were On My Mind", some of WE FIVE'S highlights include 6 albums, the original hit recording of "Let's Get Together", the first hit with a vocal version of "Cast Your Fate To The Wind," the first single release of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", and a Grammy nomination. The band includes five musicians and singers who have toured and recorded with WE FIVE. It's a bright, refreshing and nostalgic step back to a time of new beginnings. 6:00pm - ??
